Ahmed Khan defends Tiger Shroff against criticism for his acting

What does actor Tiger Shroff need to do to emerge from the career funk that he is currently in? Filmmaker Ahmed Khan said that there is no need to “panic,” as the actor is just one film away from bouncing, back and shouldn’t be written off in the way that he is. Khan has directed Tiger in films like Baaghi 2, Baaghi 3 and Heropanti 2. Tiger Shroff is witnessing a disastrous run at the box office, with three consecutive big-budget bombs– Heropanti 2, Ganapath and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, when asked what the actor is doing wrong and if he needs to do something drastically different, Ahmed said the audience has the right to feel let down, but added that Tiger checks every box when it comes to superstardom. “Usually, people say, ‘You have to work hard, but for Tiger you have to say, ‘Mehnat mat kar!’ Now what advice would you give him? He comes on time, he has got no problem on sets, he will do whatever you ask him to. Ek actor ko kya chahiye? Does he have a body? Yes. Looks? Yes. Can he dance? Yes. Can he do action? Yes. Acting? Usko kaunsi Ardh Satya karni hai, ya Garam Masala jaisi art film karni hai.”
