Priyanka Chopra made a stunning appearance at the South Asian Excellence pre-Oscars celebration on March 10 with her husband and singer Nick Jonas. She co-hosted the event, held in Los Angeles, with American actor-producer Mindy Kaling.
The diva sported a glittery white outfit by Falguni Shane Peacock. Embellished with silver embroidery and feather details, she flaunted her svelte frame in this head-turning body-hugging ensemble.
Her monotone co-ord set, which included a glamourous corset top worn over a bralette and skirt with a small train, has taken social media by storm. Additionally, the bodycon finish with the net and lace details add to the charm of the outfit.
he also wore a cropped faux fur jacket over the attire, which further elevated the style quotient. As for makeup, she went for a bronzed shade with earthy orange lipstick and mascara, and for accessories, she opted for diamond Bulgari earrings and transparent heels. That’s not all. She styled her hair in a side partition with beachy waves, giving it a voluminous look.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actor highlighted the importance of celebrating South Asian culture. “I’m so grateful that we’ve had the ability to not just return but do it in such an amazing capacity and be hosted by Paramount Pictures,” she said, adding that it is iconic to be able to look around her and see her peers who have hustled and pounded the pavement for years to be able to have their moment.
She also said, “This night is about the nominees. It is all about giving them the stage and a moment.”
Nominated South Asian films this year include RRR, Turning Red, All That Breathes, The Elephant Whisperers and Everything Everywhere All at Once.
On the work front, Chopra will be seen in two Hollywood projects. She will star in the upcoming web series on Prime Video called Citadel, which is produced by the Russo Brothers. She will also be seen in the romantic drama Love Again alongside Sam Heughan. As for her Bollywood projects, she will star in Jee Le Zaraa with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
